What's going on in Durham Theatre.

Durham region has a vibrant and exciting theatre community that is constantly presenting award winning productions. Check below for upcoming shows. You can click on any of the theatre companies' names to open their website in a separate window or tab.

Ajax Community Theatre

Ajax Community Theatre will be opening their 2013/2014 season with The Catering Queen, a comedy by Alison Lawrence. Showtimes are November  21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 at 8pm, and November 24 at 2pm.

The Borelians - Port Perry

The next production for The Borelians will be a dramatic reading of Orson Welles' War of the Worlds, at the Town Hall 1873 Centre for the Performing Arts in Port Perry, on Friday, Nov. 1. This year's Christmas Pageant will be held on Dec. 21. The suspense drama Wait Until Dark will be presented in Feb. of 2014.

Durham Shoestring Performers (DSP) - Oshawa

Durham Shoestring Performers' next show will be William Shakespeare's The Tempest, directed by John Lunman. Showtimes are November 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9 at 8 pm, and a November 3 matinée at 2 pm.

Durham Improv and Acting Studio

Durham Improv's next Improv Alliance show will be held on September 14th at 7:30 pm, with doors opening at 7 pm. This show will be their first at the new Harmony Creek Community Centre location. Check website for lull details.

Onstage Uxbridge

Onstage Uxbridge's next show is RED, directed by Andy Fiddes. The show will be at The Music Hall in Uxbridge from November 28 to December 7.

Oshawa Little Theatre (OLT)

OLT's next show in their 2013/2014 Season is Bye Bye Birdie, hitting the stage November 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 December 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14

The Scugog Choral Society - Port Perry

The Scugog Choral Society's next production will be The Drowsy Chaperone. Show dates are November 28, 29 and 30, and December 5, 6, and 7 at 8 pm, and November 30 and December 8 at 2 pm.

Whitby Courthouse Theatre

Whitby Courthouse Theatre's next production will be Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some), by Michael Carleton, 
James FitzGerald, 
and John K. Alvare. The show goes up November 14-16, 21-23, 28-30, 2013 at 8 pm, with an additional matinée on the 23rd, at 2 pm.
